Aug 29, 2023 (newstodate): Estonian national Sven Kukemelk may draw a sigh of relief, finally closing a chapter of his career as Adria Airways' last CEO, May-October 2019.
   Adria Airways filed for bankruptcy in October 2019, leaving a pile of debts to suppliers, leasing companies, airports, airlines, employees and other creditors.
   Now the bankrupt carrier's administrator has dropped proceedings to hold Sven Kukelmelk responsible for the company’s collapse.
   -According to available information and assessments, the role played by Sven Kukelmelk was relatively small, if any, in causing the damage that is part of the lawsuit, the administrator writes in the latest report on the issue.
   Mr Kukemelk earlier served with airlines including airBaltic, Estonian Air, Regional Jet, but has since left the aviation industry, today serving as Omniva VP International Business.
