Jul 27, 2023 (newstodate): Norway's Oslo Airport now seems to have overcome a prolonged period of decline in cargo volumes, reporting positive growth in June for the third consecutive month.
A total of 14,523 tonnes of flown cargo and mail was thus handled at Oslo, which is an increase by eight percent, y-o-y.
Of the total, international cargo accounted for 13,526 tonnes which up 10 percent, securing the overall positive growth.
Summing up first half-year's results in 2023, the airport handled 80,255 tonnes of cargo and mail, still down two percent, y-o-y, but a sound recovery from January-May 23 when volume still lagged behind last year by four percent.
In H1/2023, international cargo at Oslo Airport reached 74,175 tonnes, down two percent, y-o-y and also proving a sound recovery this year.
