Jul 24, 2023 (newstodate): Air Canada is a strong provider of transatlantic flights at Copenhagen Airport - with plans for more flights in summer 2024.
Today operating five weekly rotations on its route between Toronto and Copenhagen, the carrier will increase to daily rotations from May 2024.
Excepting a period of suspension from spring 2020 due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, Air Canada has been online on the route from Toronto to Copenhagen with five weekly rotations since June 25, 2010, after a decade of seasonal operations with Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
New on Air Canada's summer schedule this summer has been the launch of seasonal flights from Montreal to Copenhagen starting from June 1, 2023, with five weekly rotations using Boeing 787-8 aircraft - and this service will be returned also from next year's summer schedule.
Since May 2022, Air Canada is handled by Menzies providing passenger, ramp, cabin cleaning and de-icing services at Copenhagen Airport that has also become one of the first stations to adopt the terms of a Master Services Agreement between Air Canada and Menzies Aviation.
Cargo sales are provided by the carrier's GSSA, HWF, that has seen the total weekly capacity growing to 150 tonnes of cargo between Canada and Denmark in summer 2023.
