   In April 2023, the carrier has thus applied with FAA for an exemption and foreign air carrier permit to launch commercial scheduled operations between Europe and the American market.
   SkyUp Airlines applies for rights to engage in charter foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between any point in Ukraine and any point in the United States; charter foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between any point or points in the United States and any point or points in a third country, provided that, except with respect to cargo charters, such service constitutes part of a continuous operation, with or without a change of aircraft, that includes service to Ukraine for the purpose of carrying local traffic between Ukraine and the United States; and other charter foreign air transportation.
   SkyUp Airlines has also set up a new carrier, SkyUp MT with an own Maltese AOC granting it with full access to charter and ACMI operations across the EU.
