Jun 06, 2023 (newstodate): May 2023 provided no optimism for a rebound in cargo volumes handled at Estonia's Tallinn Airport so far into 2023.
In May, the airport thus handled 742 tonnes, which was down 22.8 percent, y-o-y.
After the first five months of this year, the airport has seen its total cargo and mail volumes down by 22.6 percent, y-o-y, to 3,537 tonnes, of which export volumes accounted for 47.3 percent and imports for 52.7 percent.
In 2019, Tallinn Airport handled 4,520 tonnes in Jan-May, so the airport is today still trailing 22 percent behind pre-Covid levels.
