Jun 27, 2023 (newstodate): The close cooperation between Russia and Belarus is deepening into the aviation business as well.
The head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has informed the Belarus ambassador that Belarus companies can soon start the assembly of the Russian civil aircraft Ladoga, designed to replace the fleet An-24, An-26B-100, Yak-40 as well as Western-built Dash 8-200, Dash 8 Q-300 and ATR-42, and Baikal, designed to replace the Soviet-built AN-2.
Belarus enterprises will also supply Russia with components for the MS-21, Tu-204 and Tu-214 passenger aircraft, and are preparing for participation in the Sukhoi Superjet project.
In addition, Russia and Belarus have decided to align their air navigation charges for their airlines, with the agreement to be implemented from January 1, 2025.
