Jun 07, 2023 (newstodate): Despite less than four years old, two Airbus A350 aircraft earlier in the fleet of SAS have so far failed to find new owners.
In autumn 2022, SAS announced that it would divest of 10 aircraft as part of its ongoing restructuring process, among them two Airbus A350-900.
One of the aircraft has been parked in Victorville, USA, since January 2023, currently on Irish registration and owned by the Dublin-based company Sparrow Aviation Holding.
This aircraft is now up for auction, but has not found a potential bidder yet.
The other aircraft owned by the Japanese leasing company Fuyo General Lease has been parked in Tarbes, France, since November 2022 and has been for sale since then - with no buyer so far turning up.
The owner has entrusted the British company Airstream to sell the aircraft to the highest bidder, in a cooperation with Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank.
