Jun 29, 2023 (newstodate): New in the skies with cargo operations will be the Slovenian airline Camex Adria Airlines.
   Camex Adria Airlines is a subsidiary of the Georgian carrier Camex Airlines; the logic behind the subsidiary is to build and attract new business and investors in the EU market with the base in Slovenia that is currently home to only one other cargo carrier, Solinair. .
   To be based at Maribor Airport, Camex Adria Airlines is shortly to take delivery of its first freighter on a lease contract with the Icelandic aircraft lessor Icelease, a Boeing 737-800 converted aircraft that will become the first of its type in Slovenia.
   The aircraft has performed its delivery flights from Kaunas in Lithuania and is now to undergo inspections, registration and acceptance by the airline.
    Camex Adria Airlines is expected to obtain its AOC and licenses from the Slovenian regulator shortly.
