Jun 28, 2023 (newstodate): Armenia's new national carrier Fly Arna is again expanding its reach into a new market: Iran.
Starting from July 11, 2023, the carrier will launch flights from Yerevan to Tehran, operating two weekly rotations with Airbus A320 aircraft.
Today, Fly Arna with fleet of three Airbus A320 aircraft is operating flights to destinations in Georgia, Iraq, Kuwait, and Russia.
Managed by Antony Price as CEO, Fly Arna was established by a JV announced in July 2021 between the Armenian National Interests Fund and the Sharjah-based Air Arabia Group, with one Airbus A320 aircraft in the fleet performing its first commercial flight on July 3, 2022.
Happily for Fly Arna, the carrier took delivery of its second Airbus A320 only on September 22, 2022 - just in time for benefiting from the lucrative market to carry Russian passengers on presumably one-way tickets from Moscow and Sochi to Georgia...
