Jun 08, 2023 (newstodate): The Lithuanian ACMI and charter carrier GetJet Airlines has added another three Airbus A320-200 aircraft to the fleet.
The growing aircraft fleet will allow the carrier to serve customers with wet-lease and ACMI capacity during this summer's demand for extra aircraft, facing a surge in leisure traffic.
In May, GetJet Airlines also added two Boeing 737-800 aircraft, delivered on a lease contract with AerCap and earlier operating in Russia with various airlines prior to the Russian war on Ukraine and later stored at Turkish airports from February 2022.
GetJet Airlines started this summer by signing new ad-hoc ACMI agreements with airlines including Marabu, TUI Deutschland GmbH, and Air Malta.
The latest partnership was established with Icelandair for flight operations in June from Keflavik Airport, and GetJet Airlines is also providing start-up capacity for the Uzbek airline Centrum Air.
Today, GetJet Airlines' fleet consists of four Boeing 737-800 aircraft, as well as five Airbus A320 aircraft plus one A320 in the fleet of GetJet Airlines Latvia.
