Jun 16, 2023 (newstodate): DHL Express has big plans for growing its operation at Finland's Helsinki Airport.
   DHL Express is thus currently seeing the construction of a new logistics center to serve international express air transport at Helsinki, slated for completion in H2/2024.
   The coming new 16,000 m2 logistics center will more than double the company's existing handling capacity, equipped with an automatic sorting system capable of handling some 6,500 package shipments per hour, while 90 direct loading bays enable efficient sorting of shipments directly from the conveyor system to the delivery trucks.
   The logistics center is being built by AVIA Real Estate Oy, with Meijou Oy as the main contractor.
