Jun 09, 2023 (newstodate): -We have strengthened our position in North America, Asia and Europe, and we expect sustained growth in 2022 as well. But our focus will also now be directed towards Africa, notably East Africa, where we see huge untapped growth potentials.
Said Scan Global Logistics' CEO, Allan Meldgaard, in February 2022. Now his words materializing.
Scan Global Logistics has thus announced the opening of its first office in Nairobi, Kenya, Eastern Africa, with Duncan Wagura appointed as Managing Director of SGL Kenya.
Already represented in Western Africa with offices in Togo, Benin, Mali, Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal and South Africa, SGL is now offering comprehensive logistics solutions across the African continent with the opening of the new office in East Africa.
But there will be more to come from SGL concerning Africa:
-Kenya is fast developing and becoming a logistics hub for East Africa. The market is ripe for an international logistics company offering comprehensive end-to-end solutions to local and global customers. Moreover, Africa is the fastest growing continent with a population of 1.5 billion and a growing middle class, says Lars Syberg, CEO of Scan Global Logistics EMEA.
-Our future expansion strategy includes, but is not limited to, neighboring countries Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
