Jun 13, 2023 (newstodate): From Monday, June 12, Air Greenland's new Airbus A330-800neo aircraft is back in service on the trunk route connecting Kangerlussuaq and Copenhagen Airport.
Since May 23, 2023, the aircraft has been stuck at Copenhagen Airport after an incident with a ground vehicle during towing, causing damage to a wing structure element.
The spare part was hard to find and delivery delayed due to the supply chain bottleneck, forcing Air Greenland to lease external capacity to handle its daily traffic.
The carrier took delivery of the aircraft directly from Airbus on December 7, 2022.
