Jun 15, 2023 (newstodate): Now operating flights on two routes to Denmark in summer 2023, Air Canada is an important contributor in airfreight capacity at Copenhagen Airport.
Starting from June 1, 2023, Air Canada has added Montreal as a new destination at Copenhagen Airport, served with five weekly rotations using Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
This comes on top of Air Canada's route from Toronto to Copenhagen, offering five weekly rotations with Airbus A330-300 aircraft since June 25, 2010, after a decade of seasonal operations.
The carrier is thus throwing in a weekly capacity of 150 tonnes of cargo between Canada and Denmark.
During the pandemic, Air Canada even remained committed to the market with all-cargo passenger aircraft flights in a partnership with HWF from April 26, 2020, starting out with one weekly and increasing from October 1, 2020, to two weekly rotations to accommodate the steady demand for westbound cargo movement when passenger flights were suspended.
Since May 2022, Air Canada is handled by Menzies providing passenger, ramp, cabin cleaning and de-icing services at Copenhagen Airport that has also become one of the first stations to adopt the terms of a Master Services Agreement between Air Canada and Menzies Aviation, streamlining the contractual process.
