May 31, 2023 (newstodate): Denmark's Aarhus Airport will lose its connection to Bucharest, Romania, from the end of this summer schedule.
   Operating the route between Bucharest and Aarhus, Wizz Air has decided to cancel operations on a total of 12 routes to and from Romania in the coming winter schedule, including the route to Aarhus.
   The route was opened with the first flight on September 29, 2022, with two weekly rotations on the route using Airbus A320 aircraft and to be operated year-round.
   Wizz Air made its entry in the Romanian market already in 2005 as Romania intensified its efforts of joining EU's Open Skies Treaty, allowing for free access by all EU-based carriers, ahead of the country's admission into the EU from 2007.
