May 16, (newstodate): The Ukrainian cargo airline Antonov Airlines has been contracted by the Polish Army to carry HIMARS artillery systems to Poland.
   The first operation was performed from the USA to Warsaw Chopin Airport this week by Antonov Airline's AN-124 Ruslan freighter, aptly named Kherson.
   The AN-124 Ruslan is today the largest out-size freighter after the destruction of the AN-225 Mriya freighter, also in the Antonov Airline fleet.
   Antonov Airlines today bases its five AN-124 Ruslan freighters at Leipzig/Halle Airport that is also the base for Antonov Logistics SALIS' contract with NATO for military uplift capacity comprising two AN-124 Ruslan freighter aircraft.
   Currently parked at Leipzig Halle Airport are today also three Russian AN-124 aircraft, effectively guarded since sanctions were imposed, and with no access allowed.
