May 30, 2023 (newstodate): After a four-year hiatus, United Airlines is back with seasonal flights to Stockholm Airport.
   Starting from May 28, 2023, the carrier is offering daily rotations with Boeing 757-200 aircraft from New York Newark Airport until September 5, 2023.
   Stockholm was already on the agenda in 2022, when United Airlines decided to return to Stockholm with the first flight on May 14, 2022; however, the carrier later scrapped this plan.
    The route was first opened by Continental Airlines in 2005; United Airlines then merged with this carrier from 2011, continuing the seasonal flights to Stockholm until 2019 - and then the coronavirus struck...
