May 11, 2023 (newstodate): The new ACMI and wet-lease provider SkyUp Malta has now opened wet-lease flights operations for airline customers.
   The first operation was performed on May 9, 2023, with the Estonian/German carrier Malibu as customer for flights between Munich and Hurghada.
   The new European carrier's operations are based on its Maltese AOC, CAMO, and an Air Operator License, obtained only earlier this month, allowing it to offer ACMI, wet-lease and scheduled flights services in Europe.
   Another new step for SkyUp Malta will be the introduction of its first scheduled service, launching flights between Vilnius and Dubai already from September 2023.
   The new service will be offered three times weekly from September 1, 2023, with the Maltese company's Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
