May 12, 2023 (newstodate): The Norwegian-owned Swedish carrier BRA has now taken delivery of its second Airbus A319 aircraft.
The aircraft will be allocated to serving the carrier's customer Ving as well as operating on certain domestic routes in Sweden.
BRA's first Airbus A319 was delivered in January 2023.
In 2022, the carrier placed orders for delivery of five Airbus A319 aircraft to serve in the charter market, with tour operators Ving and Spies as lead customers in summer 2023.
The aircraft are delivered on lease contracts and will serve Ving and Spies with flights from airports in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
Prior to the start of A319 deliveries, BRA was operating only 13 ATR72-600 aircraft after deciding, in 2019, to phase out its fleet of 10 AVRO RJ100 and RJ85 jet aircraft.
