May 11, 2023 (newstodate): The Polish carrier SprintAir, based at Warsaw Chopin Airport, has landed a contract for postal flights for PostNord Norway.
The two parties have signed a three-year contract for SprintAir to provide postal flights on routes Oslo-Bodo-Tromso and Tromso-Svalbard.
The contract takes effect as PostNord Norway's current contract since August 2015 with Swedish carrier West Atlantic AB expires by July 31, 2023.
SprintAir has contracted Aviator Airport Alliance to provide ground handling and de-icing services at Bodo and Tromso Airports.
SprintAir, based at Warsaw Chopin Airport, started freight and mail flights in April 2004, with three Let L-410 aircraft.
The SprintAir fleet now comprises 20 SAAB 340 and ATR 72 aircraft.
