May 09, 2023 (newstodate): Qatar Airways has announced a further increase in flights on the route to Oslo, Norway.
At first, the frequency was set to increase from seven to 12 weekly flights for the next winter season, but this has now been adjusted upward to 14, adding two more flights from January 1, 2024.
In contrast to Qatar Airways' services to the other Nordic capitals Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki, flights to Oslo are not comprised by the Finnair/Qatar Airways strategic alliance.
In Scandinavia, Qatar Airways has increased services to Copenhagen from four weekly flights to seven in summer '23, and to 10 from winter 23/24, and in addition to this Finnair also operates seven weekly flights, bringing the total number of weekly rotations to 17 in Copenhagen. Stockholm will see an increase from three weekly flights to five in winter 2023/24, while Finnair also operates seven weekly flights, totaling 12 weekly rotations in Stockholm.
As the Finnair/Qatar Airways partnership took effect from November 2022, Qatar pulled out from the Finnish market, leaving all flights to and from Doha to Finnair from December 15, 2022.
