May 25, 2023 (newstodate): In contrast to most other Nordic airports, Norway's Oslo Airport saw a positive growth in cargo volumes in April 2023.
In April, the airport thus handled a total of 12,427 tonnes of cargo and mail which was an increase by four percent, y-o-y.
International cargo in April reached 11,472 tonnes, which was an increase by five percent, y-o-y; in March '23, international cargo was still down by four percent, y-o-y.
April was thus the first month so far this year with a positive growth, after leaving Q1/23 with volumes down nine percent, and a drop in total cargo in March by four percent to 14,243 tonnes.
In January-April '23, the airport has been handling a total of 52,006 tonnes of cargo and mail, down six percent, y-o-y.
