On May 19, 2023, Budapest Airport also welcomed Longhao Airlines, a Chinese airline operating between Budapest and Zhengzhou using a Boeing 747 freighter.
Finally, Ethiopian Airlines has now launched a weekly charter service between Budapest and Hong Kong, using a Boeing 777F with a focus on general cargo and ecommerce commodities.
In 2022, Budapest Airport handled a record cargo volume of 194,000 tonnes.
