May 12, 2023 (newstodate): The Lithuanian ground handling provider Baltic Ground Services has expanded its cooperation with a long-standing customer, the Turkish leisure carrier Frebird Airlines.
The two companies have inked a contract effective till the end of March 2024 for into-plane fuelling at Kaunas Airport, Lithuania, also signing a new agreement for providing fuel at Ostrava Leos Janacek Airport, Czech Republic.
The partnership renewal is an extension of the cooperation since 2017 when BGS started providing the airline with into-plane fuelling services at Kaunas Airport; furthermore, the two companies have already signed a 3-year agreement earlier this year for BGS to provide ground handling services at Vilnius Airport in Lithuania.
In this year's Q1, BGS also renewed contracts with Ryanair at three stations; Smartwings renewed contracts for into-plane fuelling at Vilnius and Riga Airports and signed a new agreement for into-plane fuelling at Tallinn Airport for a one-year period, with effect from April 1, 2023, and Wizz Air confirmed the extension of the contract with BGS for into-plane fuelling at Vilnius, Kaunas, and Palanga airports for another year.
And earlier in May 2023, BGS landed a contract with SAS for handling at Vilnius Airport for a three-year period starting May 1, 2023.
