May 04, 2023 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic's first base outside its Baltic home turf, opened in early May 2022, is being expanded in summer 2023.
New on the monitor at Tampere Airport are flights two new direct destinations by airBaltic - Milan and Nice from May 1 and 2, respectively, each with two weekly rotations.
The airline already connects Tampere with eight destinations including Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Munich, Riga, as well as leisure destinations Malaga and Rhodes.
Bolstering its base at Tampere, airBaltic has also expanded its code-share agreement with SAS, facilitating its passengers at Tampere Airport to connect seamlessly to SAS' flights at Oslo and Copenhagen for onward flights on SAS's international route network.
