May 12, 2023 (newstodate): Agadir, on Morocco’s southern Atlantic coast, seems to have caught the appetite of airlines eager to lure tourists to new leisure destinations.
First, SAS announced its decision to fly to Agadir from both Copenhagen and Stockholm during the winter season starting from November 4, 2023, till end of March 2024, offering a weekly rotation using Airbus A320neo aircraft.
Now, Latvia's airBaltic is following suit with news of start of flights also from November 4, 2023, from Riga to Agadir with one weekly rotation using Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
While Agadir is today SAS' only route to Africa, airBaltic is also offering flights from Riga to Marrakesh, 246 miles from Agadir.
