May 19, 2023 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Aeroflot is now operating only western-made Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
The carrier has thus phased out it last remaining Sukhoi Superjet 100 from the fleet, allocating the Superjet 100 to its subsidiaries, notably Rossya.
In Aeroflot's own fleet now comprises 178 aircraft including 22 Boeing 777, 37 Boeing 737, seven Airbus A350, 12 Airbus A330, and 100 A320 Family aircraft.
Prior to the Russian aggression on Ukraine, Aeroflot had placed orders with Airbus for delivery of 13 additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
Heeding the call by the Russian president for Russia to turn from Western to Russian aircraft, the Aeroflot Group has dutifully ordered 260 Irkut MC-21 and 89 more Superjet 100 NG as well as 40 TU-214 aircraft that will however land with the Group's other airlines - if delivered at all.
