Apr 12, 2023 (newstodate): The new Estonia-based German carrier Marabu Airlines is now on its own feet - or wings.
Earlier this month, the carrier obtained its AOC and Operating License from the Estonian CAA in what is described as a speedy process.
In February 2023, the Estonian airline Nordic Aviation Group signed a long-term service agreement with Marabu to support its launch of operations in the German market.
Under the contract, NAG will initially allocate three Airbus A320neo aircraft to Marabu at bases in Hamburg and Munich, as well as providing various additional supporting services.
The aircraft will be operating on an ACMI basis stating from this coming summer '23 schedule for flights to leisure destinations along the Mediterranean Sea, the Canaries and the Red Sea.
Behind Marabu as sole owner is the British investment firm Attestor that also holds 51 percent of the shares in Condor.
