Apr 17, 2023 (newstodate): The new Estonia-based German carrier Marabu Airlines is building up its fleet to provide capacity for its first summer schedule.
One airline to provide capacity for Marabu is the Lithuanian carrier Heston Airlines, placing three Airbus A320 aircraft on the Marabu fleet on a wet-lease contract during the summer schedule.
Two aircraft will be based at Hamburg and Munich, respective, while the third aircraft will operate out of Heraklion.
In February 2023, the Estonian airline Nordic Aviation Group signed a long-term service agreement with Marabu to support its launch of operations in the German market.
Under the contract, NAG will initially allocate three Airbus A320neo aircraft to Marabu at bases in Hamburg and Munich, as well as providing various additional supporting services.
The NAG aircraft will be operating on an ACMI basis for flights to leisure destinations along the Mediterranean Sea, the Canaries and the Red Sea.
Behind Marabu as sole owner is the British investment firm Attestor that also holds 51 percent of the shares in Condor.
