Apr 21, 2023 (newstodate): New wet-lease customer airline for Lithuania's Heston Airlines is Air Montenegro.
The Montenegrin carrier has sourced one of Heston Airlines' Airbus A320 aircraft to bolster its in-house capacity during the coming peak tourist season.
Air Montenegro launched operations in June 2021 with a fleet comprising two Embraer 195 aircraft transferred from Montenegro Airlines that suspended all flights from December 26, 2020, entering bankruptcy.
This summer will see Air Montenegro opening flights on several new routes, including twice-weekly flights from Tivat to Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn.
Set up in 2020 and landing its AOC on May 21, 2021, Heston Airlines based at Vilnius Airport and with Jonas Rinkauskas as its CEO, today operates a fleet comprising six Airbus A320 and three Airbus A330 aircraft.
