Mar 03, 2023 (newstodate): The Ukrainian carrier SkyUp Airlines has posted a request for C-checks on two of its Boeing 737NG aircraft.
The carrier calls for business proposals for an EASA-certified maintenance provider in Central or Eastern Europe to provide the C-checks during the period October-November 2023.
In summer 2022, SkyUp Airlines opened a line station for maintenance of its own fleet in Antalya, Turkey - but C-checks are still beyond the airline's own capacity.
During the summer 2022, six SkyUp aircraft were serviced at this station, while a line maintenance station has also been operating in Tallinn, Estonia, where three SkyUp aircraft were serviced.
With a fleet growing to 11 aircraft including two Boeing 737-700 and nine Boeing 737-800 aircraft, the carrier performed 7,713 flights carrying over 1.08 million passengers on 627 routes to 204 airports around the world in 2022.
