Mar 21, 2023 (newstodate): The regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital is seeing brisk business with new contracts in 2023.
   The latest fresh order comes from a new customer, the Philippine carrier AirSwift signing a lease contract with NAC for one ATR72-600 aircraft to operate on domestic routes in the country.
   Another new customer is SATENA, a government-owned Colombian airline, contracting NAC for one ATR42-600, while Nordic Aviation Capital has delivered one Dash 8-400 on lease to LAM, the flag carrier of Mozambique with a hub at Maputo International Airport.
   Also in 2023, NAC executed a lease agreement for three ATR 72-600 aircraft with Caribbean Airlines, headquartered in Trinidad and Tobago and operating more than 600 weekly flights to destinations in the Caribbean, North and South America.
   In January '23, Nordic Aviation Capital completed a sale agreement for eight E190 and two E175 with TrueNoord, a regional aircraft lessor based in the Netherlands, and this year's first contract for two additional E175 aircraft was inked with Star Air, a regional carrier based in Bangalore, India, that already operates a fleet of five E145 and plans to commence operation with E175 aircraft in Q1 2023 connecting 18 domestic destinations.
