Mar 23, 2023 (newstodate): Coinciding with today's Headlines from newstodate hitting the mailboxes, Maersk Air Cargo's first operation from Billund to Hangzhou in China will be completed with touch-down at Billund Airport.
The Boeing 767-300 converted freighter will land at 11:55 after a 6.5 hours flight from the intermediate stop at Navoi, concluding the operation that started at Billund Airport on March 20 at 14:27.
The full rotation thus covered a full three days, with 26 hours in the air and the rest of the time on the ground at Navoi in Uzbekistan and Hangzhou in China - hardly qualifying for an express delivery..
After this first operation to complete the setup and infrastructure for the regular scheduled operations, Maersk Air Cargo will be offering three weekly rotations on the route from Billund to Hangzhou with an en-route technical stop in both directions at Uzbekistan's Navoi Airport for refueling and crew change.
