Mar 07, 2023 (newstodate): Still unconfirmed, but noted on GDS, Royal Jordanian seemingly intends to close down services at Copenhagen Airport from May 2023, moving instead its Scandinavian services to Sweden.
Royal Jordanian was operating the route to Copenhagen till March 2020 when Covid-19 suspensions were enforced, but returned to Denmark with scheduled services from March 27, 2022, with three weekly Airbus A319 flights from Amman.
Royal Jordanian was first providing flights to Copenhagen until the early 90'ies, restoring flights on the route from June 3, 2018, with three weekly rotations using Airbus A320 aircraft.
While the future of the route to Copenhagen seems to be in danger, Royal Jordanian is to launch flights to Stockholm by the end of March 2023, introducing flights between Amman and Stockholm with two weekly rotations using Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
The opening of the route was augured by during the recent Swedish royal visit to Jordan, where Jordan and Sweden agreed on the opening of a Jordanian Embassy in Stockholm, and an agreement was signed opening up for Royal Jordanian to launch services between Amman and Stockholm.
