Mar 07, 2023 (newstodate): The Polish carrier LOT is again increasing frequency on its route connecting Warsaw and Vilnius, Lithuania.
In the coming summer '23 schedule, the carrier will add four more weekly rotations on the route that is already served with 28 weekly rotations.
This will further bolster LOT's position as the company with the highest frequency of flights on a single route in the entire network of Lithuanian Airports where LOT is active on all three airports including Kaunas, Palanga, and Vilnius.
Besides the trunk route Warsaw-Vilnius, LOT is also operating flights between Vilnius Airport and London City, reopened from August 31, 2020, after being suspended during the peak of the Covid-19.
Flights on this route were opened on May 1, 2019, operated with Embraer 190 aircraft leased from Nordic Aviation Capital and one of the few types to meet the strict operating requirements of London City Airport's short runway.
The four aircraft were delivery ex-factory by the end of December 2019.
