Mar 22, 2023 (newstodate): Finnair is soon to return services on its route from Helsinki to Osaka, Japan.
Flights on the route will thus reopen on March 26, 2023, with Finnair offering three weekly rotations operating with Airbus A350 aircraft.
Launched in June 2003, the carrier's route to Osaka was scheduled to be served during the summer 2022 schedule with three weekly rotations - but the closure of Russia's airspace forced Finnair to suspend its passenger flights to Japan from February 28, 2022.
In the 2023 summer season, Finnair will also operate flights to Tokyo's Narita Airport - served since April 22, 1983 - four times a week, in addition to its daily flights since October 30, 2022, to Tokyo's Haneda Airport.
Prior to the Covid-19 outbreak, Finnair's program for flights to Japan comprised Tokyo Narita, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sapporo.
