Mar 01, 2023 (newstodate): Finnair will be busy serving British Airways with flights from London Heathrow Airport in summer 2023.
   Earlier this year, BA signed a new long-term wet-lease contract with Finnair comprising four Finnair Airbus A320 aircraft in the period starting from March 2023 and running till March 2024.
   During the upcoming summer schedule, Finnair will thus be operating on British Airways' routes from London Heathrow to 27 destinations in Europe, including also Copenhagen and Stockholm.
   In summer 2020, four Finnair Airbus A321 were wet-leased to British Airways for a 4-months period.
   British Airways' need for additional aircraft capacity may be due to delayed deliveries of new aircraft on order, but also spurred by the 43 slots at London Heathrow Airport acquired after the demise of Flybe.
