Mar 13, 2023 (newstodate): Admirably undaunted by bellicose pressure from Mainland China, the Czech Republic has maintained and even strengthened its cooperation with Taiwan in several spheres.
In 2022, Taiwan and the Czech Republic thus signed six memoranda of understanding and cooperation arrangements on issues spanning culture, education, semiconductor technology and the museum sector, underscoring the two sides’ joint commitment to deepening exchanges.
This increased cooperation is now to be further cemented with the launch of direct flights by the Taiwanese carrier China Airlines connecting Taipei and Prague starting from July 18, 2023, and offering two weekly rotations with Airbus A350-900XWB aircraft.
Till now, the two destinations have been connected by a code-share agreement between China Airlines and the Czech carrier CSA between Prague and China Airline's European hubs including London Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Rome, and Vienna.
