Mar 06, 2023 (newstodate): Plans for launch of a new German carrier before the end of this year have come to nothing.
With great fanfare, Bavarian Airlines aired the decision to start flights from its base at Munich on routes from Munich to Berlin, Dusseldorf, and Frankfurt, with further plans for adding also flights to Amsterdam, Geneva, London-City and Vienna.
The carrier would be operating a fleet of up to 12 Embraer E195-E2s on lease contracts, and had reportedly started the process for landing an AOC.
Now, the company has vanished in thin air, and its website has been closed, leaving no trace of the high-flying ambitions.
