Mar 13, 2023 (newstodate): Serving Air Greenland since 2002, the carrier's Airbus A330-200 performed its last flight from Greenland this weekend.
The aircraft was manufactured in 1998 and put up for sale in September 2019 under a contract with Skytech-AIC marketing the aircraft.
The last owner has now been found: the US company AAR Supply Chain has acquired the aircraft to be cannibalized, with parts and components to be recycled in the market.
As its replacement, Air Greenland took delivery of its new Airbus A330-800neo aircraft on December 7, 2022, and this aircraft is now operating the trunk route connecting Greenland and Copenhagen Airport.
