Feb 27, 2023 (newstodate): The German Rhenus Group is deepening its presence in Scandinavia with a new acquisition in Sweden.
   On December 1, 2022, the company thus bought the Swedish haulier MTS Malmo Transport & Spedition AB that adds the capability of Rhenus Sweden to provide a range of transport solutions including full-load, partial load and grouped services, and ADR compliance for the transportation of hazardous materials.
   Set up in 1991 as a privately-owned company with Mats Cederwald as its CEO, MTS also operates refrigerated vehicles catering to the need of transportation of pharmaceuticals, perishables and other temperature-controlled goods.
   Rhenus has been operating in Sweden through integration with the Swedish company Swedlink since February 2021, entering the Norwegian market with the opening of Rhenus Logistics Norway AS in Oslo from February 2022, and adding Rhenus Denmark with two offices in June 2022.
