Feb 06, 2023 (newstodate): Fly Lili, a Romanian charter and ACMI airline founded in 2020, is in the process of taking in two Airbus A320 aircraft on a lease contract with the US lessor Carlyle Aviation.
Already since the end of May 2021, one Airbus A320 aircraft has been in the fleet of Fly Lili, but parked at Varna Airport it has never been put into commercial service while serving as the basis for obtaining the carrier's AOC from the Romanian CAA.
Set up by four Romanian entrepreneurs, the carrier's initial ambition was to add one Airbus A310F, formerly serving with ULS Airlines Cargo, one Airbus A319, and two ex-Hop! ERJ14 aircraft.
Fly Lili first planned to start out with scheduled services in H1/2022 with Munich as the first destination, served from the two Romanian airports at Satu Mare and Suceava - which however did not materialize due to the rise of the coronavirus.
So far, no details have been released on Fly Lili's coming route network and services.
