Feb 07, 2022 (newstodate): Notwithstanding the undeterred friendship between the presidents of Turkey and Russia, Turkey's leading handling company Havas feels the pressure from western sanctions on Russia.
The handling company Havas has felt obliged to inform Russian and Belarusian airlines that it may stop servicing their US-sourced aircraft in line with Western sanctions against Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine.
Russian and Belarus aircraft with more than 25 percent western components may thus be denied handling at Turkish airports, and Havas has asked Russian and Belarusian airlines to provide a list of aircraft that contain less than 25 percent American technology, advising them to plan flights to be operated on these aircraft.
