Feb 08, 2023 (newstodate): With the opening flight on March 1, 2023, Air India will return services to Copenhagen Airport, offering three weekly rotations with Boeing 787-8 aircraft carrying up to 256 passengers plus cargo - not least Norwegian seafood - in the belly compartment.
Now, the Danish market will have one more option for flights to India: the Indian low-cost airline IndiGo has announced a significant expansion of its code-share connections between Europe and India.
Comprised by the new move is Indigo's code-share with Turkish Airlines, offering direct flights between Copenhagen and Delhi via Istanbul operated by Turkish Airlines.
IndiGo is now operating six weekly rotations between Delhi and Istanbul with Boeing 777 aircraft on a wet-lease from Turkish Airlines under an agreement inked in December 2022, replacing IndiGo's earlier Airbus A321neo operation.
