Feb 23, 2023(newstodate): Hardly a surprise, Aviator Airport Alliance has won the contract with Finnair for handling at Helsinki Airport.
The contract was tendered after Swissport decided to close down its ground handling business at Helsinki Airport after having lost the tender for ground handling of Finnair's long-haul fleet, due to expire by April 2023, cutting one-third off Swissport's total business in Finland.
Under the new five-year agreement, Aviator will provide ramp handling for all Finnair’s operations at Helsinki Airport, expanding the existing cooperation between the two parties for handling of Finnair's narrow-body fleet since 2021.
