Feb 06, 2023 (newstodate): Norwegian is expanding its fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, currently comprising three units leased from Air Lease Corporation.
   Coming in are a further six Boeing 737 MAX 8 that have become available in the market after the demise of another Norwegian airline, flyr, that folded its wings last week.
   As in the case with the first three aircraft of which so for one has been delivered, the six new aircraft are also leased from ALC and will be readily put into operations well ahead of the coming summer 2023 schedule.
   In the first months of this year, Norwegian has been operating 62 of a total of 67 aircraft.
