Feb 06, 2023 (newstodate): Scandinavia will see more of Air China in the coming summer 2023 schedule.
Currently operating one weekly rotation from Beijing to Copenhagen and Stockholm via Xian on the incoming flights, respectively, the carrier will go up to three weekly flights on both routes from the start of the summer '23 schedule.
Air China is also changing aircraft type on the routes today served with Airbus A330-200 aircraft, operating instead an Airbus A350-900 aircraft on the two routes.
Air China re-launched flights on the route to Copenhagen Airport from May 30, 2018, having earlier operated flights on the route while pulling out again from 2001, leaving SAS alone in offering daily flights between the two destinations
Stockholm Arlanda Airport was long the only Nordic airport served by a Chinese carrier, with Air China offering daily rotations on the route from Beijing, and celebrating its 30th anniversary of unbroken services on the route in 2018.
