Feb 07, 2023 (newstodate): Like almost all markets around the world, even Germany saw its cargo volumes down in 2022.
   According to statistics from Verband der Air Cargo Abvertiger Deutschlands, Vacad, its 14 members comprising airlines, handling companies and airlines saw the total volumes handled down by nine percent, y-o-y, to 1,766,739 tonnes.
   However, the year before saw a record high recovery by 24 percent, y-o-y, in volumes thanks to a strong increase in 2021, not least consisting of PPE and other equipments driven by the corona-crisis.
   But in 2022, volumes were thus again below pre-corona levels, the organization says.
