Dec 07, 2023 (newstodate): Turkish carriers have no objections to operate flights to Russia or Belarus.
As one example, Southwind Airlines with HQ in Antalya and supported by the Turkish state, plans to launch flights connecting Istanbul and Minsk, in Belarus, starting from December 15, 2023, with two weekly rotations, increasing to four weekly rotations from December 20 - and to seven weekly from December 26, 2023.
All flights operated with Boeing 737 MAC 8 aircraft.
Due to sanctions, Turkish charter carriers like Pegasus and Corendon have suspended flights between Turkey and Russia as insurance companies have withdrawn support, but the Turkish state is obviously intending to cover up for this in the case of Southwind Airlines.
