Dec 14, 2023 (newstodate): Turkish Cargo is a strong provider of freighter capacity in the Nordic and Baltic markets.
In Denmark, the company is operating two weekly Airbus A330-200F and one Boeing 777F service from Billund to Istanbul, while Copenhagen Airport is served with the belly capacity on one weekly Turkish Airlines Airbus A330-300 passenger flight to Istanbul.
In Finland, Helsinki Airport is seeing two weekly A330-200F and one Boeing 777F operation, and Stockholm in Sweden is served by three weekly Airbus A330-200F operations, as is also Oslo Airport in Norway.
In the Baltic region, Turkish Cargo operates one weekly Airbus A310-300F and two weekly Airbus A330-200F freighter services to Istanbul.
Turkish Cargo launched its twice-weekly Baltic freighter service with the first flight into Latvia's Riga Airport on July 1, 2017; the service was originally planned to be allocated to Vilnius, in Lithuania. However, a runway reconstruction project closed Vilnius Airport for a period during summer 2017 - and the launch of the service was temporarily moved to Latvia until finally consolidated at Vilnius Airport from April 19, 2018.
And from May 4, 2021, Turkish Cargo added its third weekly freighter call at Vilnius.
Nordic GSA is serving as Turkish Cargo's GSA in all four Nordic markets, while KALES Airlines Services provides GSA services in the Baltic region.
